IPL 2026 Mini Auction Highlights: Top Signings & Budget Steals

This IPL 2026 mini auction, held in Abu Dhabi, featured high-profile buys and big-money surprises for youth and niche skills. While Cameron Green was bought by KKR for a whopping ₹25.20 crore, making him the third-most expensive player in the IPL auction and the most expensive overseas player.

But the main headline of this year’s auction was Uncapped Indian players, with Prashant Veer, a 20-year-old left-arm spin all-rounder from Uttar Pradesh, and Kartik Sharma, a 19-year-old wicketkeeper from Rajasthan, bought by CSK for a vast 14.2 Crore each, entering their names in the most expensive uncapped players list. Also, Auqib Nabi, a Jammu and Kashmir fast bowler, was purchased by the Delhi Capitals at 8.4 Crore.

The other big buys in the auction were Matheesha Pathirana to KKR for 18 Crore and Liam Livingstone to SRH for 13 Crore.  Also, Venkatesh Iyer is one of the most talked-about names of this auction.
