PCB is likely to announce the PSL 2026 full schedule once the two new teams are signed up. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that the auction for two new PSL franchise teams will take place on 6 January 2026.
Teams Playing in PSL 2026

Eight teams will play this season (six old teams plus two new ones). Each team has good players from Pakistan and other countries. Here’s who’s playing:
1. Lahore Qalandars (Defending Champions)
The Lahore Qalandars became the three-time PSL champions last season after defeating Quetta Gladiators in the final by six wickets.
2. Islamabad United
Islamabad United was the first team to win the PSL three times. They were also the winner of the inaugural edition of the tournament.
3. Karachi Kings
Karachi Kings qualified for the final of the PSL only once in 2020. They won the tournament in their first attempt after defeating Lahore Qalandars in the final.
4. Multan Sultans
The Multan Sultans made their PSL debut in 2018 and went on to win the trophy in 2021 after defeating Peshawar Zalmi. They finished as the runner-ups for three consecutive seasons from 2022 to 2024.
5. Peshawar Zalmi
Peshawar Zalmi qualified for the final for the first time in 2017 and went on to clinch the trophy. They qualified for the final for the next two seasons but ended up as runner-ups each time.
6. Quetta Gladiators
The Quetta Gladiators finished as the runner-ups in 2016 and 2017. In 2019, they defeated Peshawar Zalmi by eight wickets. They qualified for the final for the first time in 2025 after six years but lost the final against the Lahore Qalandars.
7 & 8. Two New Teams (To Be Announced)
Two new teams will join PSL 2026! Their names and cities will be decided at the auction on January 6, 2026. They could be from Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, Sialkot, Muzaffarabad, or Gilgit.
